Former Newcastle striker Shola Ameobi is in talks with Crystal Palace, according to Sky sources.
Ameobi is a free agent and could be reunited with Palace boss Alan Pardew, who was his manager on Tyneside for a number of seasons.
The 33-year-old Nigeria international departed St James Park in May 2014 and joined Turkish side Gaziantep.
However, he left Turkey in December and is now available on a free transfer.
Ameobi scored 79 goals in 397 appearances for Newcastle.
