Former Ipswich striker Darren Bent hopes Paul Hurst's replacement is given funds to spend on the squad to help them avoid relegation.

Ipswich have confirmed that head of coaching and player development Bryan Klug will take caretaker charge of the team for Saturday's fixture at The Den.

Lambert, who was manager of Ipswich's fierce rivals Norwich City from 2009 until 2012 and guiding them into the Premier League, has been out of club management since he was sacked by Stoke in May.
