Burnley have been fined by UEFA for objects thrown onto the pitch by supporters during their Europa League clash with Olympiakos at Turf Moor last month.

The Clarets have been hit with a £4453 (€5000) penalty for the incidents during their 1-1 draw with the Greek side on August 30.

Sean Dyche's side were knocked out of the competition at the play-off stage after losing 3-1 in Greece two weeks prior and 4-2 on aggregate.

A Burnley fan was stabbed and four others were injured as violence erupted outside the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium in Piraeus for the first leg on August 23.

The Clarets have had a difficult start to the campaign, winning for the first time in the Premier League last weekend when they beat Bournemouth 4-0.
