Burnley to shake up backroom staff

Burnley are the latest Premier League club to change their backroom structure and have begun the search for a technical director, Sky Sports News understands.

Recruitment specialists Nolan Partners are heading up the search for the new role, which will coordinate recruitment and oversee development of the club's academy.

Nolan Partners' website confirms they are recruiting a technical director for 'a Premier League club', which Sky Sports News understands is Burnley.

Sean Dyche, who celebrated six years in charge at Turf Moor last month, will work closely with the new TD, but will still report directly to the club's chairman, Mike Garlick.

In recent weeks, both Manchester United and Chelsea have been linked with moves for technical directors. Last month, Dan Ashworth announced he was leaving his role as the FA's technical director, to take up a similar role at Brighton in the new year.
