Stoke City are interested in Burnley striker Sam Vokes, but Sean Dyche won’t allow any player to leave in this window unless he first gets in a replacement, Sky Sports News understands.
Burnley are adamant they're looking to strengthen - not weaken - their squad to help move away from the Premier League relegation places.
A deal for Vokes could be more likely if Burnley's interest in Birmingham striker Che Adams bears fruit - though in turn, Birmingham are adamant they won't sell the man seen as one of their prized assets.
Southampton are also keen on Adams, who has scored 14 goals in the Championship this season.
Stoke are keen to add to their attacking options and see Vokes as an ideal candidate who could perform for them in the Championship and subsequently the Premier League if they win promotion.
They could also be short in the forward department if Bojan is moved on. Peter Crouch's future at the club is also uncertain.
