Burnley manager Sean Dyche was bewildered by referee Anthony Taylor's decision not to award his side a penalty during their 1-1 draw with Southampton on Saturday.
Ashley Barnes appeared to be brought down by Saints goalkeeper Alex McCarthy in the first half, and was booked for protesting the decision.
Burnley had gone 67 Premier League games without a penalty, though they were finally awarded one in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
Dyche said: "I thought we were excellent throughout, I thought we kept knocking on the door, and at last we get a penalty and it should've been two (penalties).
"I've seen some amazing penalties in the Premier League, we haven't had one in 67.
"It's impossible it's not two."
Peter Crouch came on as a late substitute for Burnley, having been signed on deadline day from Stoke.
The former England international was instrumental in winning Burnley a penalty in added time, as Southampton's Jack Stephens struggled to contend with his height.
"I think he's effective," Dyche added. "A lot of teams end up working around him and no one else, and when he came on, Barnes has a chance, we hit the bar, we have goalmouth scrambles.
"He's not going to play every minute of the game. But he knows the part, he knows the game."
Burnley travel to Brighton next week looking to extend their unbeaten run to seven games.
