Striker Cameron Jerome has signed a new three-year contract with Norwich.

Jerome, 29, joined the Canaries from Stoke in August 2014 and helped them win promotion back to the top-flight, scoring his 21st goal of an impressive campaign in the Championship play-off final win over Middlesbrough.

However, last season the 29-year-old struggled for consistency in the Barclays Premier League, finding the net just three times with Alex Neil's side eventually relegated.

Jerome, whose new deal includes an option for a one-year extension, said on the club's official website: "It is nice to get this deal over the line early on so I can come back fully focused ready for next season. The manager is really enthusiastic and wants to help the lads improve.

"We need to come back with fresh optimism to get the job done and get promoted again next season, that is the challenge now."
