Norwich's promotion parade was interrupted as their bus broke down during its tour of the city centre on Monday

After motoring to the Sky Bet Championship title, Norwich finally experienced a breakdown as they were forced to change buses during Monday's promotion parade.

Thousands of supporters lined the streets, but were forced to wait a little bit longer than expected to greet their heroes after a mechanical issue with a bus that had been especially decorated for the occasion.

Having initially boarded it, the players were forced to disembark the yellow vehicle, which read 'We Are Premier League'.

Norwich fans gathered in the city centre to celebrate the club's title triumph and promotion

Despite the exertions of a long season, which ended with a 2-1 victory at Aston Villa on Sunday to secure the title, several members of the Norwich squad attempted to give the bus a push-start.

However, a replacement was quickly found in the form of a red sightseeing bus, which enabled the players and staff to resume their journey through the city centre.
