Skysports.com understands that Leeds United have enquired about the availability of Coventry City captain Sammy Clingan.
The Whites are keen to bolster their midfield numbers following the summer departures of Neil Kilkenny and Bradley Johnson, although they have brought in experienced schemer Michael Brown.
