QPR boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is making a positive impression

QPR club captain Clint Hill says new manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has already made a positive impact at the London club.
Having impressed at Burton, who he guided to the top of Sky Bet League One, Hasselbaink has been charged with lifting mid-table QPR into promotion contention in the Championship.
Named on Friday as the permanent successor to the fired Chris Ramsey, the former Leeds and Chelsea forward has been working with his new squad on the training ground this week.
And experienced defender Hill, who is back in training himself after a knee problem, says the players have been impressed by their new boss.
"We've had a few days with the new gaffer now and it's all been very, very positive," Hill told the QPR website.
"Someone who has played at the highest level and won what he has won commands that immediate respect straight away.
"He's come in and set his stall out and made it very clear what he expects from us every day. The sessions have been very high intensity, very well organised and very well structured, so it's only positive so far.
"Obviously, a first day in a new job for anyone is vital and it's no different for new managers.
"Jimmy came in and had a presence about him and made it abundantly clear what he expects from each and every one of us.
"He's pulled some lads aside already and made it clear that he expects them to work harder and that can only be good for the football club.
"He wants us to press and be a very fit team, and that comes from hard work on the training ground first and foremost."
Hasselbaink has been tinkering with the working week at QPR and Hill says the reasoning behind the moves makes sense.
"He's changed our day off from a Wednesday to a Thursday," Hill said.
"He wants to use Monday as a lighter, warm-down session, Tuesday and Wednesday as our high-intensity days, rest on a Thursday, and then tail down on a Friday to plan for the Saturday and be raring to go come kick-off.
"He's very methodical and it's clearly worked for him so far during his managerial career."
