QPR sign Padula
QUEENS PARK RANGERS boss Ian Holloway has snapped up former Wigan full back Gino Padula.
The defender has been back in his native Argentina since being released by Wigan back in the summer of 2001, but has been tempted back to the British Isles by the prospect of first-team football at Loftus Road.
The former Walsall man is known to Holloway, having spent time with the coach at Bristol Rovers, and will be looking to make an immediate impact after inking a one-year deal.
The 25-year-old will not have to worry about a work permit, as he holds an Italian passport, and will link up immediately with his new team-mates.
