Leicester are still on course for the title despite defeat at Arsenal, their former captain Steve Walsh says.

Danny Welbeck's late winner at the Emirates and Tottenham's victory at Manchester City later on Sunday saw both north London clubs move to within two points of the Premier League leaders.

Sky Bet now make Leicester third favourites, but Sunday's game was their last against a direct rival, and Walsh told Sky Sports News HQ a first title in his old club's history is still there for the taking.

"We've got a very strong, resilient squad at the moment and I don't think it's a case of bouncing back," said Walsh, who spent 14 years at Leicester as a player.

"It's an incredible run they've been on, the lads, and this is a small hiccup. I'm looking at the next few games and we've got some favourable games.

"To be honest, if you look at the past three games - we've played Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal - I'd have taken six points and that's exactly what we've got, so I think things are going very nicely.

"Even though every game now is going to be a cup final, we're still the team to beat. We've got fantastic spirit and some very talented players. There's history in the making for this squad.
