Former Leicester City and Chelsea player Alan Birchenhall is recovering well in hospital after suffering a heart attack on Thursday night.
Birchenhall collapsed during an awards ceremony and was treated by paramedics.
The 71-year-old is a Leicester ambassador and match-day presenter at the King Power Stadium, and one of the best known characters at the club.
Foxes fans have launched a Twitter campaign asking supporters of both clubs to show support for his recovery, by shining the lights of their phones after 10 minutes in Leicester's Premier League game against Chelsea on Saturday.
Birchenhall, who had spells with 10 professional clubs during his career, including Sheffield United, Crystal Palace and Notts County, wore the number 10 shirt during his Leicester playing days.
Birchenall, who made 163 appearances for Leicester between 1971 and 1977, was awarded an MBE in 2003 for his charity work.
