Leicester striker Jamie Vardy admits the season has been "frustrating" so far ahead of their Monday Night Football clash against West Brom.
Leicester sit 18th in the Premier League having won only one of their seven games so far, picking up just five points out of a possible 21 under Craig Shakespeare.
The Foxes face Albion live on Sky Sports Premier League from 7pm on MNF, and the 30-year-old admits it has been a mixed and "dodgy" campaign.
Vardy told Soccer Saturday: "It's been a dodgy one to be honest with you. We've put in some really good performances and got nothing out of it, and then other times, like Huddersfield away, we weren't at our best and we got a point out of it.
"It's been frustrating, but we know we've got to keep going, and put in some of the performances we did at the start of the season. The points will come.
"It is early days in the season. If you look at some of the teams we've had to play up to now, they're all up there, challenging for the title. They're out of the way now and it's down to us to start picking the points up.
"It's a points industry and that's how it has always been. We need to start getting those points on the board.
"It's a World Cup year as well, so I need to be playing well for Leicester, and hopefully if I'm playing well the team plays well too, and pulling us away from the situation we're in now."
Shakespeare was given the job on a permanent basis in the summer after impressing at the end of last season following the sacking of title-winning manager Claudio Ranieri.
Vardy is a big fan of Shakespeare and says the arrival of assistant manager Michael Appleton has also helped take the workload off the boss.
"It was a strange one last season, we couldn't put our fingers on what was wrong, but come the end of the season we managed to pull ourselves away from the trouble.
"He's brilliant with us. It's helped him that he's brought Michael Appleton in as his assistant, and he can sit back more and examine everything, whereas before he was massively hands on.
"It's beneficial for them both, especially with experienced coaches around them."
