Jamie Vardy has won the Carling Premier League Goal of the Month award for March, seeing off the challenge of Gabriel Jesus and Marcus Rashford among others.

Leicester's top striker picked up the award for his volley in last month's 4-1 win at West Brom. He has now scored 16 Premier League goals this season.

Vardy scored twice in March, his second goal coming in his side's 2-0 victory over Brighton.

Foxes team-mate Riyad Mahrez was shortlisted for his goal in Leicester's 1-1 draw against Bournemouth - the Algerian has taken his league tally up to 10.

Jesus was among the nominees for his 12th-minute effort in Manchester City's 3-1 win at Everton, while Rashford received a nod for his goal in Manchester United's 2-1 win against Liverpool.
