Former non-league striker in the last year of his contract

Blackpool striker Gary Taylor-Fletcher has revealed he may leave Bloomfield Road when his deal expires at the end of the present term. But his form has yet to be rewarded with a new deal despite his present one dwindling down.

Concentrate

"It has been a bit difficult to concentrate on the football with the contract issue hanging over me," he told the Blackpool Gazette. "At the moment nothing is happening. I want to stay here but I just want what I think I deserve. "I am one of the main players, I think, and I want to be up there with the rest of them. "I am very hopeful it can be resolved because I'm not asking for the world - I'm not asking for as much as the top earners are on.

"I just want to be up there, or just below, which I think I deserve to be." The former roofer progressed through the game from the ranks of the non-league and after four years at the club, now feels established in the higher echelon of players at Blackpool. He added: "I've been a regular for four years since I've been here. I've always been one of the lesser players compared to others, but this year I think I've come on leaps and bounds."
