Highlights of the Sky Bet League One match between Northampton and Barnsley.

Northampton set a new club record of 10 straight league defeats when beaten 1-0 by mid-table Barnsley at Sixfields on Tuesday.

Already relegated and set to finish bottom of League One, the Cobblers went down to Reyes Cleary's first-half strike, which lifted Barnsley up to 13th.

The visitors made all the early running, with an unmarked Tom Bradshaw heading just wide at a corner and David McGoldrick fizzing off target from distance.

While Barnsley could not capitalise on their strong start, they did eventually take the lead eight minutes before the break when Cleary latched onto Patrick Kelly's pass, cut inside and picked out the far corner.

Kyle McAdam fired into the side netting in first half stoppage-time and Dean Campbell curled one just wide after the break, but otherwise Northampton struggled to create meaningful chances.

Adam Phillips had the best opportunity of the second half when spooning over from close range, while Tykes goalkeeper Kieren Flavell clawed away Conor McCarthy's late header to preserve his clean sheet.
