Woods delighted to be keeping enthusiastic attacker

Grimsby Town have extended the loan deal of Barnsley forward Michael Coulson until the end of the season. Coulson, who can play up front or on the wing, has scored once in nine appearances since joining Grimsby in November. He will now see out the campaign at Blundell Park and Mariners boss Neil Woods feels the 21-year-old's enthusiasm has been a valuable addition to his squad. "He's been a great addition for us," Woods told the Grimsby Evening Telegraph. "He's versatile in that he can play on either flank or up front and also gives us a lot of energy. "He is so enthusiastic and that is infectious - it rubs off on other players and the fans have taken to him because of his commitment in every game. "The supporters like to see that and it's a big bonus to have his stay confirmed. "He has adapted to playing out wide and I'm sure there are more goals in him as well." Meanwhile, the Mariners are also hoping to receive clearance to play former Hibernian attacker Tam McManus in the reserves against Huddersfield Town on Wednesday.
