Hull City will be without Abel Hernandez and Michael Dawson for their trip to the Emirates to face Arsenal on Saturday lunchtime, live on Sky Sports 1HD.

Hernandez has suffered a hamstring injury, which is expected to see him sidelined for three or four weeks, and Michael Dawson is expected to be out of action for a similar period with a calf muscle problem.

On a positive note, Egypt international Ahmed Elmohamady could come back into the first-team picture after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations.

Head coach Marco Silva said: "Michael (Dawson) is out with a calf injury - maybe for a few weeks. Abel is out with a hamstring muscle injury.

"Elmohamady is back with us now after international duty and available for Saturday. He is an important player for us."

Hull are 18th in the Premier League ahead of the weekend fixtures having taken seven points from four league games under Silva.

The Portuguese, who guided Olympiakos to a 3-2 win at Arsenal in the Champions League in 2015, said he had fond memories of the Emirates stadium, but insisted that Hull were far from the finished article.

"The Emirates holds good memories for me, it's a fantastic stadium and last time I played there it was a great result," he said.

"We have to achieve our goal to remain in Premier League. It is important that I want my players with their feet on the ground because we have won nothing."
