Hull City head coach Marco Silva believes key decisions went against his side during their 2-0 defeat to Arsenal on Saturday.
Arsenal took the lead in the 34th minute in controversial circumstances after the ball struck Alexis Sanchez on the hand on its way into the back of the net, and referee Mark Clattenburg apologised to the Hull players for the decision at half-time.
Sanchez then sealed all three points from the penalty spot in injury time after Hull midfielder Sam Clucas was sent off for handling on the line.
"It's not the story of the game," Silva told Sky Sports. "We didn't start well in the first-half. We lost the ball in some important zones for us but after that we started to control the game better.
"However, they scored with a handball and at the start of the second-half when the referee apologises because of the handball for the goal, it's not good for us.
"We make mistakes and sometimes the referee does as well."
Silva also thought last-man Kieran Gibbs should have been sent off in the second-half for bringing down Lazar Markovic as he tried to latch onto Oumar Niasse's flick.
Gibbs received a yellow card for the incident but when asked about the incident, Silva thought it could have been a red card: "Yes, it's true.
"I don't want to talk about the situation with the referee."
Despite the result, Silva saw plenty of positives from his side as they prepare to face relegation rivals Leicester and Swansea in the coming weeks.
"We played well in the second-half and some chance to score and change the result," Silva added.
"I'm happy with our reaction in the second-half. Obviously the result is not good for us but I saw some positive things in the game.
"We didn't start the game how I wanted but in the second half the team showed good things again.
"We gave Arsenal, in their stadium, problems. I want the team to continue with this progress. It's important we have time to rest and time to work to prepare for the next game."
