Hull have announced that promising youngster Max Sheaf is recovering at home after suffering a skull fracture during a match on Monday night.
The 16-year-old midfielder was knocked unconscious after a clash of heads, while playing for a Tigers XI against Kenyan side the SportPesa All Stars.
He was treated at length on the pitch before being taken to hospital, but has now been cleared to continue his recovery at home.
In a statement posted on the club's official Twitter account, Hull said: "We can confirm that Max Sheaf is now at home & recovering well after suffering a Temporal bone fracture against the @SportPesa All-Stars.
"Everyone at the Club wishes Max a speedy recovery."
The incident occurred just weeks after Hull's first-team midfielder Ryan Mason underwent emergency surgery, having fractured his skull in a collision with Chelsea defender Gary Cahill at Stamford Bridge on January 22.
