Leeds complete permanent transfer of Pablo Hernandez

Leeds United have completed the signing of winger Pablo Hernandez on a permanent deal.

Hernandez has signed an initial six-month deal at Elland Road and the Sky Bet Championship club have the option to extend his stay by a further 12 months.

The 31-year-old joined Leeds on loan from Al-Arabi in August and has since made 18 appearances, scoring three goals. 

Hernandez, capped four times by Spain, has played for Swansea City in the Premier League and also represented Valencia, Getafe and Rayo Vallecano.

Leeds have enjoyed a superb season under new manager Garry Monk and sit in fifth place in the Championship, seven points off the automatic places.
