Bowyer blames Ridsdale

LEE BOWYER claims he is being forced out of Leeds United by chairman Peter Ridsdale.

Although the former Charlton star is an alleged target for Liverpool and Arsenal, Leeds insist they have received no bids for the transfer-listed midfielder.

Elland Road boss David O'Leary has admitted he is hopeful of persuading his star to put pen-to-paper on a new contract, even though talks over a new deal collapsed.

Yet agent David Geiss claimed there would be no U-turn from his client, as he waits for any offers to arrive for the 25-year-old.

"His (Risdale's) attitude seems to have changed over the past six months," protested Bowyer.

"I can only guess why that is."
