Championship club name suite after former player
Leeds United will honour Gary Speed by naming a new East Stand suite in memory of their former player, the club has announced.
Chairman Ken Bates has decided to name the brand new facility that has been created through the multi-million pound East Stand development after Speed, who sadly passed away at the weekend.
The club has also announced its matchday plans for the visit of Millwall on Saturday when a minute's applause will be held, commemorative black armbands will be worn and wreaths will be laid.
Speed played 291 games for the Yorkshire club and scored 57 goals in his eight years.
His proudest moment for the Whites was in the 1991-1992 season when he helped them win the last old league championship.
