Port Vale v Blackpool preview

Image: Rob Page: Port Vale boss has now new injury problems

Port Vale have no fresh injury concerns ahead of Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy home clash with Blackpool.

On-loan defender Ryan Inniss has headed back to his parent club Crystal Palace for surgery on his shoulder.

Vale do not expect Inniss, who joined them on a season-long deal over the summer, to be back until around Christmas.

The only other players boss Rob Page has unavailable remain midfielder Michael O'Connor (knee) and goalkeeper Chris Neal (ankle).

Meanwhile, Blackpool have discovered they will be without their loan signing Lloyd Jones for up to three months due to an ankle problem.

Defender Jones, who is on loan for the campaign from Liverpool, sustained the injury in last week's home win against Chesterfield and scans have confirmed he faces an extended spell on the sidelines.

The Tangerines built on that victory by beating Swindon on Saturday but encountered further injuries that are being assessed.
