Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has completed his first signings at the club with the arrival of winger Mark Duffy and defender Chris Hussey.
Duffy, 30, on loan at Burton last season, will join the Blades on a free transfer on July 1 following his release from Birmingham while the Sky Bet League One club have paid a nominal fee to Bury for centre-half Hussey. Both players have put pen to paper on two-year deals.
"In our opinion, Mark was the best player in this division last season and we are delighted to have captured his services," Wilder told the club's official website. "Importantly he knows what it takes to get out of League One, which is crucial.
"He comes here for all the right reasons, he has come here because after listening to us he believes in what we are trying to do. Mark could have moved elsewhere for a significantly better contract."
Duffy was a near ever-present for Burton, making 45 league appearances in total, scoring eight goals and contributing a number of assists in the process. His consistent form also saw him recently named in the PFA League One Team of the Year.
Wilder said of Hussey: "Chris was another really consistent player in this division last season and we are delighted to have brought him here.
"He offers us balance, versatility and a good knowledge of the league; in addition we believe he is capable of making the step up to the Championship.
"Chris is a good age and a player we have monitored and tracked for a number of years."
