Midfielder Richie Wellens has left Shrewsbury Town by mutual consent.
The 36-year-old joined the Shrews in January and turned out 12 times last season as he helped the club secure their Sky Bet League 1 status.
Town boss Micky Mellon revealed that Wellens would not be part of his plans this season and an agreement to cancel his contract has now been reached.
