Shrewsbury are without internationals Jayson Leutwiler and Ryan McGivern for the visit of Oxford.

Goalkeeper Leutwiler has been called up by Canada for the first time, qualifying for the nation through his mother having been born in Switzerland.

McGivern has linked up with Northern Ireland for their World Cup qualifier against Azerbaijan in Belfast and next week's friendly with Croatia.

Joe Riley (knee) is out but Shaun Whalley is closing in on a recovery from a calf problem and Ian Black is available after suspension.

Midfielder Liam Sercombe should be fit for Oxford.

Sercombe suffered a dead leg during the U's' Checkatrade Trophy match against Chelsea in midweek but is expected to train ahead of the weekend.
