Watch the incident here, as the half-time entertainment on the Stadium of Light pitch was mired in controversy!

Plymouth Argyle's away visit to the Stadium of Light to face Sunderland was never going to be easy, but one fan had an especially frustrating trip.

Sunderland did not stumble in their bid to secure promotion from Sky Bet League One as they beat Plymouth Argyle 2-0 on Saturday thanks to goals from Lee Cattermole and George Honeyman.

But the half-time show did at least provide some smiles for those who made the long journey from Devon to Wearside.

A fan from each side was selected to partake in a footrace from the goal line to a ball on the edge of the opposing area. The first one to get the ball in the net would be crowned winner.

The big event, however, was marred by some unsportsmanlike behaviour - ruining one fan's day out at the Stadium of Light!
