Hull came from behind to beat 10-man Peterborough and open up a three-point lead at the top of Sky Bet League One.

Second-place Posh had taken the lead through Reece Brown, having kicked off behind the visitors on goal difference alone.

A Reece Burke header would level for Hull before Ethan Hamilton was sent off before the interval for a second bookable offence.

The Tigers, who have played two games more than Peterborough, ultimately ran out 3-1 winners as Keane Lewis-Potter put them in front and a Mallik Wilks penalty on the hour saw them leave with the points.

At the other end of the table, bottom club Rochdale lost 2-0 at home to Shrewsbury as the visitors struck twice in the second half through a Josh Daniels header and a smart Josh Vela finish.

The hosts struck the woodwork three times but a Viv Solomon-Otabor strike and a Curtis Tilt header gave the Latics the three points.

Bristol Rovers also moved out of the bottom four courtesy of a fine 4-1 home win against Accrington.

Luke Leahy and Alex Rodman had Rovers two goals to the good at half-time, with Sam Nicholson and Zain Westbrooke pulling the hosts further clear before Paul Smyth hit a consolation.

Brandon Barker struck in the third minute for Oxford, whose goalkeeper Jack Stevens saved a Brett Pitman penalty in the second half to maintain the advantage.

Dan Agyei doubled the lead moments after coming off the bench, with Taylor Curran grabbing a stoppage-time consolation for Swindon.

Charlton beat Northampton 2-1 as Conor Washington scored twice, which included a penalty, with Alex Jones halving the deficit late on.

Meanwhile, Jerry Yates hit the only goal as Blackpool were 1-0 winners at MK Dons.
