Bradford have finalised the signing of defender Greg Leigh following his trial at the club.
Leigh, 20, has put pen to paper on a one-year contract after leaving Manchester City earlier this summer.
The left-back will go straight into boss Phil Parkinson's squad for Saturday's opening-day game at Swindon.
"Although we already have Alan Sheehan and James Meredith for that left-back slot, we just feel Greg has the ability to become a real asset to the squad going forward," Parkinson said.
"He has real power and pace and he played a large number of games in League One last season for Crewe at a young age.
"He may have to go out on loan for a month or so if he doesn't force his way into our team but we are confident he is a player who will improve."
