Bristol City midfielder Gary O'Neil has urged his side to be cautious ahead of their clash with former club Norwich on Tuesday night.
The Robins have enjoyed a 100 per cent start to the Sky Bet Championship season with victories over Wigan and Burton, while they also beat Wycombe last week in the EFL Cup.
However, O'Neil, 33, who has had spells with West Ham United and Queens Park Rangers, has played down the impressive start.
"We need to not get too carried away," he told City's website.
"We've played Wycombe in the cup - they're a decent side, but are League Two - and we've played two of the promoted boys."
The experienced Englishman still believes his side can raise their standards even higher for the trip to Carrow Road.
"We've managed to win the games but we've not been at our best and firing on all cylinders yet, so it's important not to get carried away," said O'Neill.
"But, having said that, it's as good a start as we could have asked for. Three wins on the trot is a great way to start the season."
Lee Johnson's men are currently level on points with O'Neil's former club QPR in first place, but have the opportunity to put themselves clear with a third successive win.
