Josh Brownhill has his sights set on promotion and the FA Cup

Bristol City midfielder Josh Brownhill says there is no reason why they cannot get promoted to the Premier League this season and win the FA Cup.

The Robins have won nine straight games and they are unbeaten in their last 15 matches, a run that has taken them to fifth place in the Sky Bet Championship and the fifth round of the FA Cup.

They are also top of the European form table over the last 10 games, ahead of Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Speaking ahead of Sunday's FA Cup tie against Wolves, Brownhill said they are targeting a league and cup double.

He said: "It will be very difficult to do both but I think if the performances keep at where they are now then why not?

"We want to get promoted, I think the majority of teams in the division want to get promoted, and we've definitely got ourselves in a good position and if we keep the run going then why not?"

City have already beaten Premier League side Huddersfield 2-1 at Ashton Gate in their FA Cup run and are aiming to reach the last eight for the first time since 1974.

"It's not often you can say you get to a quarter-final so it would be huge but we don't do anything differently for Premier League teams coming," Brownhill added.

"We don't look too much into it. We do a lot of work on the training pitch and we do a lot of research and it seems to be working.

"It's tough to win two or three games in the Championship in a row never mind however many it is now in the league.

"It's been a good run - there's a lot of confidence and every time we go into a game there's a good feeling."
