Bristol City striker Paul Heffernan has been further sidelined with a persistent groin problem. The £150,000 summer signing from Notts County has been bothered recently by the injury, though there were hopes he would return to action with the West Country club this week.
The Irishman was in line to make Brian Tinnion's squad for their midweek LDV Vans Trophy success against Milton Keynes Dons, but his groin started to bother him again after training on Monday.
A frustrated Tinnion revealed that Heffernan will need time to properly recover from his groin problem.
"Paul's injury has now flared up again and he is unable to train," the Robins boss told his club's official website.
"It's frustrating, but we need to get it 100 percent right."
Meanwhile, City's young winger Darren Hawkins has taken a trial with Conference club Tamworth - with a view to a loan move.
The 20-year-old has spent time on loan at nearby Bath City, but Hawkins has now gone to train with the Midlands non-leaguers in the hope of landing a loan move.
Robins defender Sekani Simpson is currently in the middle of a loan spell with Tamworth.
