Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al Hasawi is open to new investment into the Championship club.
Al Hasawi purchased Nottingham Forest in 2012 and is onto his eighth manager under his ownership, with Philippe Montanier appointed in June. There have been reports that Al Hasawi is looking to sell the club, but the Kuwaiti businessman has responded.
In an official statement, Al Hasawi says he is in the process of discussing possible investment into the club with different parties.
He told the club's official website: "I appreciate there has been much speculation about the ownership of the club and about my current level of involvement.
"I would like to clarify that it is true that I have been discussing potential investment with different parties, but at this moment in time I cannot confirm any definite deal has been done.
"I have always said I will do what is best for Nottingham Forest and if I decide to make a deal with an investor it will be in the best interests of the club's future."
Nottingham Forest won their first game of the Sky Bet Championship season with a 4-3 win against Burton Albion on Saturday. Montanier's side followed that up with a 2-1 victory away at Doncaster in the EFL Cup on Tuesday.
