Steve Robinson moved quickly to secure the signatures of Connor Ripley and Josh Law on the same day he was named as the new Oldham manager.
Goalkeeper Ripley has joined from Middlesbrough on a season-long loan deal while full-back Law, who can also operate in midfield, has arrived on a one-year contract from Motherwell.
Robinson knows both players well from his time at Motherwell, where he worked as assistant manager before leaving to take over at Boundary Park.
