Oldham Athletic have sacked assistant manager Andy Rhodes after just four months back at the club.
The 54-year-old joined the coaching staff when Frankie Bunn was appointed first-team manager in June.
The duo had played together at Oldham between 1988-990 and Rhodes also worked at the club as a goalkeeping coach for two years in 2002.
Following the news chairman Abdallah Lemsagam released a statement addressing the club's finances and reiterated his commitment to the club.
Lemsagam said he will make sure there isn't a repeat of the late salary payments made to staff last month.
"There were a number of reports about late salary payments and I can confirm that this was dealt with promptly and we are working hard to make sure that this doesn't happen again in the future.
"I have the utmost respect for all the staff, we are all one family at Oldham Athletic and I apologise for any inconvenience that it may have caused.
"With running a football club, there are often a number of obstacles that prove to be difficult but supporters can rest assured that we are dealing with things with the club's best intentions at heart.
"I am still working to get the club back on track, we are striving to fulfil the commitments of the previous ownership which hasn't been easy and I am personally contributing over £200,000 each month."
Oldham are preparing to go to Northampton on Saturday in League Two on the back of a 2-0 victory against Cheltenham on Tuesday night.
Oldham are 12th in the table but are four points off the League Two play-off places after 15 matches.
