Oldham midfielder Danny Whitaker is one of six players who will not be offered a new contract at Boundary Park.

Oldham midfielder Danny Whitaker is one of six players who will not be offered a new contract at Boundary Park. Whitaker joined the Latics from Port Vale in the summer of 2008 but his two-year deal has now expired. Chris Rowney, Liam Dawson, Michael McKerr, Phil Ojapa and Rene Steer have also been told they will not be awarded new contracts. The League One club are already beginning to re-shape their squad for next season despite being without a manager following the departure of Dave Penney.
