Dennis Bergkamp says he does not want to be the next Swansea manager and is committed with his work at Ajax.
The Arsenal legend was linked with taking over from Garry Monk, sacked on December 8, but the 46-year-old insists he is happy to stay in the Netherlands for the foreseeable future.
Bergkamp has been assistant boss at the four-time European champions since 2011 and he told Voetbal International magazine: "I currently have no ambition to become a head coach.
"There's a job to do at Ajax and I see my role here in the next few years."
Former United manager David Moyes has ruled himself out of the running but one man who Sky sources understand is interested in the vacancy is Gus Poyet.
It is understood the former Sunderland and Brighton manager, currently in charge at AEK Athens, has not yet been approached by the Welsh club.
Sky Sports News HQ has reported Swansea are hoping to appoint their new boss early next week and are currently drawing up their shortlist.
Ostersunds manager Graham Potter is a surprise contender for the job, but former Swans boss Brendan Rodgers has already ruled himself out.
