Highlights of the Sky Bet League Two match between Tranmere and Grimsby Town.

Tranmere clung on to secure League Two safety with a tense 1-1 draw against play-off-bound Grimsby at Prenton Park.

Nathan Smith's second-half header cancelled out Justin Amaluzor's strike on the stroke of half-time as Rovers preserved their League Two status by two points after rivals Harrogate conceded a late goal.

The visitors had a glorious chance to open the scoring in the fourth minute but Andy Cook fired wide from the edge of the area after latching on to a long ball.

Moments later, at the other end, Charlie Whitaker fired over from eight yards with only Jackson Smith to beat.

But Town took the lead just before the break when Amaluzor racing on to a Kieran Green through ball before firing high past Marko Marosi.

The visitors could have doubled their advantage just after the restart, but Amaluzor slid in and scooped over from six yards when he should have scored.

Joe Ironside then had a chance to level in the 62nd minute, but slipped when through on goal with only Smith to beat.

Two minutes later, Rovers were level as Smith rose highest to meet Whitaker's corner and head home from close range.

Despite mounting tension on and off the pitch in the closing stages, Tranmere held on for a point and other results went their way.
