Logan Dobbs scored his first senior league goal as Gillingham secured back-to-back victories following a 2-0 win over Tranmere at Priestfield.
The defender found space inside the box on 68 minutes and headed home a fine cross from Ronan Hale, who got on the scoresheet himself shortly afterwards, pouncing on a pass back to goal before applying the final touch.
Both sides had chances in the opening minutes, with Gillingham's Nick Freeman denied by Luke McGee before Dylan Jones had a shot cleared off the line.

Nathan Smith had a chance just after the half-hour mark following a Tom Ince corner, but his header was gathered by Ollie Wright.
At the other end a James Brophy free-kick was headed goalward by Omar Beckles, but McGee was equal to it.
The hosts finally did find the breakthrough on 68 minutes when Hale's cross to the back post found Dobbs, and the centre-back was left unmarked to head home from close range.
Hale ensured the points were safe soon after, pouncing on a defensive error and applying the final touch to find the back of the net.
