Full-back's recovery held up by recent cold snap
Doncaster Rovers defender James Chambers is looking forward to stepping up his quest for a first-team comeback.
Chambers underwent a knee operation in the summer and has yet to make an appearance for Doncaster this season.
The recent cold snap has held up the right-back's recovery and the 30-year-old is champing at the bit to return.
He told
The Star: "My leg feels stronger than ever and there is no fluid on my kneecap which there was previously.
"It feels really good. The only thing I've not been able to do at this moment in time is test it with some running.
"Like everyone else I've been waiting for the snow and ice to go so that I can get cracking. I could have been doing that for the last fortnight, so it has been frustrating.
"On a scale of one to a hundred, it is a hundred. But it is one of those things which happen in life. I see it is as a test of character and I'm not too downbeat about it."
