Defender excited to be linking up with Lions

Millwall have agreed a deal to sign former Bolton Wanderers defender Danny Shittu on a three-month contract. Shittu is a free agent after agreeing a deal to leave Bolton prior to the close of the summer transfer window. The Nigeria international had attracted interest from Europe and the Middle East, but has now accepted an offer to join Millwall. The 30-year-old is expected to finalise his deal at The Den on Friday and is looking forward to playing for the Championship club. "This move ticks all the right boxes for me," Shittu told the club's official website. "I'm excited to be coming here and I hope to help Millwall push up the table. "I know a bit about the club from friends who are supporters and everything I've heard has been positive."
