Transfer news: Austria striker Stefan Maierhofer re-joins Millwall until end of season

Stefan Maierhofer has re-joined Millwall on a deal until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.
The 32-year-old Austria international striker first joined Milllwall last March and played a crucial role as the Lions successfully secured Championship safety with a win over Bournemouth on the final day of the 2013-14 campaign.
"It's a good feeling coming back here," Maierhofer told the club's official website. "I have stayed in touch with the gaffer and in the last few days he has called me everyday and said 'come on big man, we need you'."
Maierhofer will wear squad number 42 again and could make his second debut for the club at Blackpool on Saturday, providing clearance is received in time.
