Sheldon Kendall came off the bench to score two late goals as Gillingham registered a 3-0 win over Bristol Rovers at Priestfield Stadium.
James Brophy opened the scoring 10 minutes into the second half, firing home an effort from the edge of the box which caught goalkeeper Brad Young unsighted.
Kendall then netted with his first touch, drilling in Nick Freeman's cross five minutes from time, before adding a second with a minute left.
It was the visitors who started the brighter and had chances through Bobby Kamwa and Shaq Forde which both missed the target.

The hosts gradually worked their way into the game and were unlucky not to go in front when Ronan Hale's drilled right-footed effort from Harry Waldock's cross forced a brilliant stop by Young.
Robbie McKenzie then went close for Gills either side of the break, a free header inside the six-yard box being guided over before he missed the target with a right-footed shot.
Brophy netted his third goal of the season when he cut inside from the left and fired an effort towards goal which unsighted Young.
Sub Kendall grabbed his first after latching on to Freeman's cross from the right, before applying the finishing touch at the second attempt following a great ball from Will Goodwin.
