Highlights of the Sky Bet League Two match between Grimsby Town and Port Vale.

Grimsby moved up to fifth in League Two with a statement 3-0 home victory over promotion rivals Port Vale.

Cameron McJannet, Doug Tharme and Jason Dadi Svanthorsson struck to take the Mariners level on points with second-placed Notts County, Doncaster and Vale.

Vale had an early sight at goal when Rico Richards managed to break through to the edge of the box, curling a shot that Jordan Wright palmed away.

Jayden Luker tested Connor Ripley at the other end as he cut in from the right flank and fired a shot that was creeping in at the near post.

The hosts took the lead in the 29th minute through centre-back McJannet, who charged in at the back post to knock in Jordan Davies' looping cross.

Connor Hall forced a diving save from Wright in the second half as the ball was headed into his path on the edge of the box.
