Northampton Town have parted company with manager Dean Austin following Saturday's 4-0 defeat away to Mansfield.
The 48-year-old took over the Sky Bet League Two side in May, having initially been placed in caretaker charge following the departure of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
Austin was unable to help the club avoid relegation from Sky Bet League One and leaves the Cobblers with just one win from 12 matches in all competitions, and 21st in the table.
The club announced the news on their website with a brief statement that read: "Northampton Town can confirm following discussions that they have parted company with manager Dean Austin.
"Dean has worked extremely hard for the football club both last season and this. We thank him for his efforts and we wish him well for the future."
