Northampton Town have parted company with manager Dean Austin following Saturday's 4-0 defeat away to Mansfield.

The 48-year-old took over the Sky Bet League Two side in May, having initially been placed in caretaker charge following the departure of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

Austin was unable to help the club avoid relegation from Sky Bet League One and leaves the Cobblers with just one win from 12 matches in all competitions, and 21st in the table.
