Northampton boss Ian Sampson has continued to add to his squad by signing Alistair Slowe on a one-year deal.

Northampton Town boss Ian Sampson has continued to add to his squad by signing winger Alistair Slowe on a one-year contract. Slowe arrives at Sixfields from Cypriot club Onisilos Sotira subject to international clearance and was previously playing in Ghana. He follows on from the capture of Tadgh Purcell and Sampson is hoping to help the 21-year-old fulfil his potential at Northampton. Sampson said: "Alistair is a young player with a hunger and desire to make the most of the opportunity we have offered him. "We are looking to give a chance to young players and we are pleased he will be joining us. He is a right-sided midfielder and a player we can work with to develop. "He is not the finished article yet, but he has potential and good technical ability. He gives us something in an area where we were looking to add and is a welcome addition. "Because he has been abroad he has slipped under the radar a little, but we are happy to give him the opportunity and take a bit of a chance with him."
