Huddersfield strengthened their League One promotion credentials with a 2-0 victory over Exeter at the John Smith’s Stadium.
Defender Matty Pearson grabbed his third goal in six league games after 16 minutes, with Joe Whitworth unable to react quickly enough to save his close-range header from a corner.
Danny Ward thought he had doubled the lead after rounding Whitworth off Ben Wiles' excellent through ball and slotting home nine minutes later, but the flag was already up for offside.
