Huddersfield duo take League One honours
Huddersfield Town boss Lee Clark has scooped the League One Manager of the Month award for October, with Jordan Rhodes taking the player prize.
Clark, who recently pledged his future to the Terriers after being linked with the vacant manager's job at Leicester, has beaten Charlton's Chris Powell, Sheffield Wednesday chief Gary Megson and Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade to the prize.
Huddersfield extended their unbeaten run to 41 games in October and they picked up five wins and one draw in the month.
Terriers striker Rhodes claimed the Player of the Month award for his goalscoring exploits in October.
Great month
Rhodes, who was called up to the Scotland squad for next week's friendly with Cyprus, netted nine goals in six games for Huddersfield to help them to second spot in the table.
The 21-year-old was delighted to secure the award and also praised Clark for the job he has done with the team.
"It's been a great month, especially as we've recorded five wins," said Rhodes. "I can only say how well the team have done throughout October and how well the manager has done as well
"It's great to get recognised and win the award - I'm really happy about that. But more importantly we are second in the league now and we want to carry on our good run against Walsall."
